Your Stikkit account settings contain a unique email address you can use to send Stikkit your notes. Anything you email will appear as a new stikkit the next time you sign in. Be sure to keep your Stikkit-by-email address to yourself, and only email to it using the To: and BCC: fields of your email program so the address stays out of the evil clutches of spammers.

I've tried twice to email a stikkit to my account and both time it failed so show up. What is the latency? So far it has been about an hour since I sent the first email.
Thanks,
SN

Hi guys, could you each send me a private email to mike@valuesofn.com letting me know just your account nicknames? I'll see if there's anything odd about your accounts and report back to you privately. Thanks!

How to deal with email footers? e.g. when I email from my company email, there is a lengthy "disclaimer" footer at the end of the email, which i obviously don't want to appear in my stikkit. any way to cut that out?
(e.g. Blogger I think when emailing to post allows you to put "#end" at the end of the message to tell Blogger to ignore everything thereafter, i.e. the footer.)
UPDATE: An additional issue I noticed this raises, is that because the email footer also contains the company web address, stikkit thinks this is a "bookmark" and so puts the stikkit with web address into the bookmarks section.

I seem to be having the problem of emails not getting into the system - any suggestions on how I might fix that?
Scott

Hi scottmb,
Are you sending emails to your magic email address? Are you sending them from your registered email address?
We recently fixed a bug that allows posts from any email address, but I like to recommend that you always send from the email address that stikkit knows to test things.
HTH,

hi, sorry to reply to my own post, but do any of the support gurus have an answer to my query above on cutting out email footers? this is kind of a dealbreaker for me, the posting by email to stikkit is useless if i can't solve this problem...

Hi antd,
Sorry I missed your message before (keeping an eye on the forums via the RSS feed is fantastic, but not quite perfect, I guess. :-)).
I think that your idea is an excellent one. I could use it myself. I'll add it to our list and it will likely be done quite soon!

And we rolled it out yesterday. Just put
#end
At the end of your email, and the rest will be cut off, just like in Blogger.
Enjoy!

Hi There - Cool tool - I love Stikkit! I've attempted to email updates into my stikkits and consistently get the following error. _______________________________________ This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: valley0222@XXXXXXX.stikkit.comTechnical details of permanent failure: PERM_FAILURE: Parse Error: Illegal To: address (invalid domain name): valley0222@XXXXXXX.stikkit.com________________________________________ I'm not sure about security, so I've XXXXXXX'd out my username from the address in this email. Any guidance is appreciated, Rob

Hi rob_commins, Could you send the complete bounce message, including all of its headers, to help@stikkit.com? We'll take a look and see what we can figure out. Thanks for using Stikkit! David

I've tried to email notes twice. Once from my office account (which is not known to Stikkit) and it got stuck in the spam filter. The second time was from my Yahoo account, which is known to Stikkit.... nothing happened. No delivery, no error messages, no failed delivery. Can you help me find what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks, Bob
